Sol Yoga TeachersChaise Fitzgerald
Chaise embodies the true ‘Kiwi’ (New Zealand) spirit of adventure and laughter in her pursuit of life. She played varied sports, explored an eclectic range of jobs, and traveled afar before pausing to complete her BA Communications in Australia.
Chaise met her husband in NZ during the 2000 Americas’ Cup joining him in his native La Jolla on 2001 where surf entered her life in a big way. That was, until 2004 she was introduced to a shocking but provoking Bikram class! One particular teacher Liza DiGaetano was a constant motivator (not always heeded), always encouraging Chaise to stay focused on her mat! Now with a daily yoga practice Chaise laughs; she remembers not being able to touch her toes, breathe through her nose, or lie still in Savasana!
Chaise fervently believes ‘all yoga is good yoga’, and the simplest way to calm the mind, and build a lean healthy body and a powerful self awareness! She continues to stretch her own limits and is passionate for her students to feel the same. She holds the thought there is no fast track to a perfect yoga practice, and encourages persistent personal exploration, always welcoming the sound of laughter in her class.
Chaise trained with Corepower Yoga in Point Loma, and recently with Carlsbad Ashtanga teacher, Tim Miller. While Chaise continues to read and study voraciously, she works with her husband in the business of performance modifications of racing yachts.
